- Doctors are working to determine the benefits of exercise regiments benefits in improving cognition and reducing normal memory loss so that specific exercises can be assigned to improve memory. Adding to the long list of benefits that exercise provides to overall health and giving more reasons to get off of the couch and get active.
- Studies are now showing that physical activity reduces stress and anxiety disorders that contribute to many cognitive malfunctioning attributes as well as providing evidence that exercise may prevent or delay dementia. This is great news for the many people who want to preserve their mental clarity as they reach older ages.
- Cognitive benefits of physical exercise for children and adults is not as clear as the benefits of exercise on the aging but it is a start in the search for finding answers to the question “why do people forget things.” The studies indicate that exercises will ameliorate the effects of aging on the brain reducing a normal age-related decline in cognitive functioning.
- Cognitive functions such as planning, organization and working memory are achieved through simple measure such as increased confidence in abilities with older adults and with younger adults in the same way. So if you have been feeling forgetful or slow to process simple things, it could be that you are not getting enough exercise.
- Physical activity is a catalyst to increasing and maintaining proper mental processes. Therefore it can be said that some lifestyle changes may improve cognitive functioning. Studies indicate evidence that a healthy brain diet including foods rich in omega-3 fats, antioxidants, and low glycemic carbohydrates (whole grains), daily walks, relaxation exercises and mental exercises like crossword puzzles result in brain metabolism suggesting an increase in efficiency.
- Reducing blood pressure, weight and cholesterol and not smoking is important for brain health in all ethnic backgrounds. Even though countless studies make these suggestions it has not been established enough to recommend specific regimens for the desired results. Increasing brain cognitive functioning can be maintained throughout a person’s life by simply living life to the fullest and by continually learning new things. While depressed moods, anxiety, and other psychological illnesses can be associated with both poor emotional and cognitive health as well, exercise is the determining factor in most improved cases.
- For older adults mental stimulation is important in preventing age related cognitive declining. Regular light exercises for the elderly such as brisk walks, swimming, and other full body exercises will help to maintain the mental performance, stamina, endurance allowing for better memory and all over mental functioning and less cognitive decline.
- Improved blood flow to the brain will undoubtedly provide amazing benefits and prevent mental deterioration by stimulating the growth of nerve cells in the region of the brain that handles memory functioning. However conclusive the studies may seem different methodologies make it extremely difficult to make any conclusive determinations in the relationship between exercise and mental fitness. It is conclusive that regular exercise is the best treatment for improvement in overall health and maintaining overall health.
- So get up, stay busy, and learn something new always for good mental fitness. Many people say that they would like to get started with exercising, but they don’t have any opportunities to do so. The truth is that almost anything can be made into an exercise.
- Exercise is something that comes as a part of daily life, not something that you have to seek out. So, start getting in shape by doing the simple things, and then maybe you can progress to more strenuous activities. It could be a good idea to employ the help of a physical trainer who knows the human body very well and can help you to do what needs to be done. - HYDROGEN PEROXIDE'S HISTORY:
Ted from Bangkok writes, "Yes, the pharmaceuticals are threatened by hydrogen peroxide cures! Last time, about 120 years ago (during the reign of Queen Victoria), people in India (a British colony then) found that Hydrogen peroxide added in small amounts to drinking water cured a variety of sickness especially colds, flu, cholera, malaria, etc. It threatened the British monopoly drug sales, so they issued a fake news by hiring a news reporter disguised as a doctor to put out the information to the effect that taking hydrogen peroxide causes viral brain damage. It sounded believable, but the child who died of the hydrogen peroxide caused viral brain damage was non-existent.
- It worked and the people in India went to buying British drugs, while suppressing India's own Ayurvedic medicine from any sales. It is amazing that Ayurvedic medicine actually survived under British threat for more than 200 years of occupation!
- It has happened during the Queen Victoria era, and now it is happening again. History repeats itself, only this time, we now have the internet, which at least for now, the information is free. No doubt, freedom of information is something we just have to always be vigilant

11/21/2006: True enough, if a $.79 home remedy jeopardizes the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical and medical industries, there will be an effort to squash it as either dangerous, ineffective, or both. Since July (when we started to receive anti-H202 emails), more articles are appearing on the internet and in magazines about the dangers and ineffectiveness of drinking hydrogen peroxide as reported by the FDA. The latest article we just read came from Consumer Reports, December 2006, page 53. They devote an entire column to the dangers of hydrogen peroxide. The title: "Safety Alert: Hydrogen Peroxide Isn't For Drinking". The article references several websites promoting H202 as a cure for cancer. No doubt the author came to this page too!
- To quote from the article: "The idea behind ingesting hydrogen peroxide stems from a now-discredited theory that cancer and AIDS thrive on a lack of oxygen in the body."
- Ummmm, discredited by what studies? Show us!
- According to the FDA, when taken orally H202 might cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulcers. Hey, so does ibuprofen, which also causes acid reflux in people. We seriously doubt there are many people foolish enough to swallow large quantities of peroxide and suffer these purported side effects. (The standard dosage for food grade peroxide is 3-4 drops per 8 oz of distilled water.) If there are indeed people suffering side effects from these minute dosages, we'd like to see the reports.
- In the alternative health field, the maximum is actually 0.5% concentration. Actually and optimum H2O2 concentration was first determined in 1950s by Dr. Reginald Holman by implanting Walker 256 adenocarcinoma tumours. The drinking water for the rat used H2O2 optimum concentration needed to kill the tumors were about 0.45 percent.
- Tumours completely disappeared in 15 to 60 days in rats. Of course a better way is to add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in the glass of 0.45% concentration of H2O2. This can be extended to treatment of almost any kinds of conditions, from virus, bacteria, microbial infections, pneumonia, tuberculosis, flu, etc. My own experience of using just baking soda (also increases the body's oxygen) and ascorbate vitamin C about three weeks for a small tumor to go into remission.
- A more effective I think in the future of peroxide therapy is to add baking soda to the 0.45% concentration to normal drinking water since baking soda is alkaline and increases oxygen, while the peroxide furthers this natural increase. Ted"

This past winter I worked in another office where mostly women worked, and once again kept getting and bringing to work all the winter time viruses for colds and flu. If I felt anything coming on, I just did the peroxide remedy and am happy to say I remained healthy all winter long while surrounded by repeatedly sick co-workers. I told them all about the peroxide in the ear remedy, but they were skeptical and I don't think any of them tried it. Even when I challenged them to the fact that I was the only one in the office who had not been sick at all and had missed no work~

- I had crippling rheumatoid arthritis in 1985, where all the joints in my right arm were locked up and would not move. I was in constant, horrible pain and got no sleep for over 3 months. I began drinking extremely dilute amounts of the 35% HP DROPS in PURE WATER (NOT Tap Water!!)I also had candida albicans, and my cholesterol level was 465 as tested by my MD friend. Within 1 week the pain in my joints on my right arm was GONE and I was sleeping like a baby! Within one month I had free range of motion in all joints--from my fingers to my shoulder. My cholesterol was down to 289 and the candida symptoms were greatly reduced. By the end of the second month, my cholesterol was 155 (normal and safe) and all symptoms of candida albicans infestation were GONE. That was 28 YEARS ago, and I have had NO reoccurances of any of the above problems. I call that a "CURE!"
- H2O2 amounts taken: Begin first day with ONE DROP H2O2 in 8 oz. PURE WATER. Second day: two drops H2O2. Third day: three drops H2O2...and so on until you reach 10 drops per day. Now, if the taste is too bad, split the HP drops into 5 in the morning, and 5 in the evening--near bed time. Work back taking 10 drops twice a day, THEN split it into THIRDS, AND begin taking 7 drops THREE times a day, or whatever you can handle. Slowly work back up to taking 10 drops THREE times a day. Don't go much higher than that, or you might want to stay at 7 drops, three times a day. Let your body determine your amount.
- ALSO, do NOT drink any H2O2 water 45 minutes BEFORE OR AFTER EATING A MEAL OR TAKING SUPPLIMENTS! You may throw up (vomit.)
- ALSO, take 500 mg. of Vitamin C once a day to neutralize any free radical formations that may have occured. The oxygen in the H2O2 attacks the iron in the blood and causes that reaction. The Vitamin C will clean it up, and Selenium may also be substituted for the Vitamin C.
- MY SKIN CANCER (Melanoma) "erased" with topical application of 35% Food Grade HP: I had several dark mole-like formations on my forearms come up after being out in the Texas sun a lot. They itched, and my doctor friend said they were Melanomas and that I should see a professional about them. I knew what HP would do for them, so I took a nail file and GENTLY abraded the surface of these dark bumps, and then I applied straight 35% Food Grade HP to the spots with a Q-Tip (cotton swab on a stick) UNTIL THEY TURNED WHITE IN COLOR. I did this 3 times a day for a week. By the end of the week, they had turned to powder or dust, and were FLAT and GONE! I told my friends who had similar problems, and they said that they tried SOAKING their finger and elbow joints in 3% Food Grade HP by pouring the 3% HP solution into a shallow bowl and soaking them for 30 minutes 3-4 times a day. When finished, they would pour the 3% HP solution back into a one gallon plastic jug. The last soaking, they put it in the refrigerator for safe keeping overnight. The next day, they would remove the HP jug from the refrigerator and let it sit out until it had warmed to room temperature, then use in in the bowl to soak their joints until the evening. Worked great!! If you make up one gallon of 3% solution and keep it in the refrigerator, it should last at least one month before you need to make another gallon of it.
